Where to take a caribbean vacation?

Where should I take a caribbean vacatin? Im trying to decide between USVI, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, or Cayman Islands. My initial attraction was to USVI because it would be convenient because I wouldnt need a pport and they take US currency. I want a nice beach, some snorkeling/diving, and maybe some rainforest hiking.
