How to remove stick on lead strips from window?

I had similar problem in past house & it took a back-breaking hour or so as the windows were difficult for me to reach but Sticky Stuff Remover from Lakeland did the trick eventually.Is non-toxic,based on citric acid (lemon juice) & is worth keeping in the house for all sorts of problems.It even got rid of very old masking tape sticky residue that had been on paintwork for several years without any damage.If you don't have a Lakeland store near you they have an excellent on-line service.You wouldn't imagine this could work but it definitely does,just the liquid & yards of kitchen roll did the trick
